I agree. I like those kits, but think they look kinda pointless on sedans. They only work for coupes. IMO

IMHO, pointless. I could understand the fact that he's trying to be unique, but in the end it's still a Protege. I mean, how stupid does that sound, "Hey guys, I drive a Protege with Lamborghini doors." (This applies to any economy car) He should have just bought a turbo kit.

The cost of that door kit, in a few hundred bucks tops... I see add's for them all the time in most Import magazines. There on Ebay everywhere. Im sure the money wasn't a toss up between a turbo kit, or Lambo doors. Its like $200, vs. $2500. Maybe he should have just bought the Lamborghini instead of the protege then... But yeah its still pointless on a Protege, although, unique To each his own.

Hey All,

Yes, that is My Car. I didn't go for the turbo kit because I am not in it for speed. Though engine swap has crossed my mind. It's the 1.6L so the engine mounts need to be upgraded, and I have heard they are hard to find. If I wanted speed I would have bought a new car for that. I love the MSP Orange, awesome. Yeah, I have heard mixed reactions about the doors, I just thought it would be something different, not 2 many around. And, true I am from the Baltimore Area, I live in Carroll County(if you know MD). And I do attend local shows, should be at Sudden Impact, VIP, and FullFX car shows. Later



PS:

Hey Ryan, Hope that you are having fun in TN, sorry you couldn't see this first hand. Tara and Derrick both saw it at their show(first time) and Derrick flipped out. And yes I plan to do the rest of the interior over the winter so it will be a fully wrapped interior.

Thanks, Motegi, I am also fixing that up this winter because the ports fire into the trunk, and i want to change it around so they fire into the cabin that way I go deaf faster.
