K&N air filter cleaning

i had a K&N filter on my old car but it was just a flat one and i remember that u were supposted ta clean it so that u didnt make the dirt go into the filter even more (so from the back side). so my question is how do u clean the cone filters?? can u rinse it and re-oil it from the inside? any info would be kool. thanks

Rinse from the inside, oil from the outside.

You have the proper cleaning goo, right?

cleaning GOO???? i bought the cleaning kit, it came with a spray can or cleaner, then u rinse it out then u re-oil it.

ohh ok. thanks. im probably gonna need to clean it the beginning of spring.

PS. im gonna take my car in this week sometime to get the oil changed and get my airbag light checked out. im gonna go to the dealership in livonia and ill let you know how they are. (but ill post about it in the right thread) (stash)

Just had that same appointment last friday...recall on the airbag sensor...charged me $50 for an oil change and a tire rotation....took 2 hours (smoke)
