had a previous post on painting these janky flaking chrome wheels, but here are some pics for people that might be interested on how this size fits w/o tire clearances in full lock. xxx/40/16 tires are nearly exact stock diameter. I would think a 45 aspect ratio would fit fine, but anything larger might get you rubbing a bit, being that the wheel is flush up front and slightly recessed in the rear. Keep in mind all pics are taken with the wheel near, or around, +1 3/4" to 2" from stock heights.

hooray for pointless information!

It is useful. Thanks!

How do you think 16x8 +20's will fit after your experience with this 16x7.5 +38 fitment? I'm thinking it'll stick out about half an inch or so. Thinking some 16x8 +38 will fit but will be tight as well. What say you?

I'm trying out some 16x7 ( i think +38 ) with 215/45/16 tires this weekend. We'll see how they fit.

If it helps set a baseline for those comparisons, I'm running 16x7, +37s with 205/45/16s (Assetto Garas). No rubbing ever, not even close (either on the racing beats or the H&Rs). When dropped, the fronts are just a bit tucked in, barely. The rears need an additional 8 to 10mm bump out to look equal with the fronts. With this setup, nothing is out far enough to be flush, but the appearance from a distance is basically flush.

Thanks for the info. I'm currently running 17x7 et40. Fronts are flush and the rears, even though they are 17x7 still needed spacers. I put 5mm and i still need more. Car is lowered flush. Slight rubbing on hard bumps or dips.
