i hear that. I myself had my car less than 1 week and got pulled over also. Cop said I looked like a high school kid in a car mommy and daddy just bought me.
I suggest you go to court and fight the ticket. Most times they reduce the fine in half. If you get lucky, sometimes you get a judge that is in a good move, and drops the ticket all together.
For your info and others: basically there is no more point system, if your 16 or 17 and get 1 ticket you have to go to a Operators Retraining class, 18-25 your allowed 2 tickets, and above 26 you are allowed 3 tickets in 3 years!
Basically, this is a way for the states, government, towns, cities to make tons of money. They first charge you for the infraction, and then they nail you with a $60 fee for the Operating Course. Just in the last year, the Operator course has brought in about $5 million. All in all, cops get benefits/incentives from the tickets they hand out, so everyday another cops tightens the rope around his balls.

always fight it. a buddy of mine got a ticket for an obscured front lic plate...it was the day of a huge snow storm...he was driving home and the cop ticketed him for $25...went to court and it got thrown out.
Well, the better trained you are for driving, the more experince you have and you can use that as a reason for why it is save for you to drive so fast, right? More tickets, more training, more speed. Thats the way I see it.
They should at least make you take a class like the one the Secrete Service take. That way you know how to handle a car at those speeds.

I had 18 miles on my MSP when I got pulled for no plates and 65 in a 50... ON MY WAY HOME FROM THE DEALER!!! Got written for the plates (wife had the paperwork in her car and took a different route home...) and, well, hey, I was speeding.
And, well, sorry if this sounds like a grownup talking, but you're taking a risk every time you speed, no matter how far above the speed limit. Life isn't fair. You speed and get caught, you get a ticket, pretty simple really. Not the cop's fault. These days they can pull pretty much anyone, since pretty much everyone speeds, in which case it's a numbers game too and sometimes your number comes up. Sorry you got it though, stinks to get caught.
