I love the car. I have a couple quick questions. This is my first turbo car btw. When the car is idle should the belts sound a little bit louder than a normal car turning away. You can not hear them at all inside the car. As far as break in I was reading that there really is nothing to do.... just dont redline the s*** out of it until a couple hundred miles ? Thanks for all the advice... glad to be a mazda owner now!!

Man...You guys are pro at welcoming new members...Makes me want to get an MS3 and rejoin the forums...lol! :D

Welcome and enjoy Mazda Forums! (hi)

Yeah, the DISI seems to be a little louder than some other engines.
The noise is normal.
No worries.....enjoy!!!

Grats on your purchase and welcome to forum :)

Don't redline this car ever. 5,500 rpm is where we get throttle cut. 500 miles of taking it easy and you should be all broken in. Mazda FTW!

Thanks for all the info guys... I am glad to be part of zoom zoom! I talked to a buddy and he said all the same info yall said...car is a touch louder on the belts and also the pumps make more noise than other cars. Cant wait to read and learn alot!!!!

Welcome and dont forget to save up for the CAI,Its a must. Also these injectors make alot of noise since its a DISI.

The GT's come standard with the mileage computer. They are locked out on the Sport. The procedure to unlock them worked up until the 2007 model.
