JDM Mazda MPV 4x4 and Mazda Bongo Transmission Parts

Hi Folks! A Mazda 1998 MPV JDM just rolled into the yard. Does anyone know if the transmission parts from the Bongo are interchangable? Do they use they same back axles? I know that the Bongo shares the same running gear as the euro Ford Ranger.

Any thoughts?

Bongos are not common around here. I think there are few imported into Canada but it cant be more than a hand full.

What engine is in it?
