There are actually a few ways to do it and you have the POWER to do them. Just takes a bit of knowledge =)

Keep in mind it will not remove the dimming totaly, it will only help out. Also if you play alot of really long bass hitting songs, then its not going to do s***.

save your money......................................and use it to buy beef jerky and slurpees...............

Dim on Boom = Auto Doom.

Drop some dough and get a cap.

Better yet, buy a "performance" battery like an Optima. An Optima is basically like six caps in one. THere's a whole write up about it somewhere but I'd definately say go the battery route..

Optima is a really great step in the right direction but to say that it is the same as or better than a big stiffining cap is just silly.

A cap can discharge instantaniously compared to even the best of storage cell type batteries. It might help and even make the problem seem to go away.

To the originator of the thread,

"Are you running an underdrive pulley?"

This would be the root of the problem if it were true.

Mine dim to the A/C compressor. I doubt the cap alone would do too much. If you got the battery AND the cap that would help out more. IMO bcause the cap does discharge instantly, and it takes time and more power to charge while the electrical system can just barely keep up with the normal load. The cap would not help at all, except maybe for the A/C compressor cycling. That's why I'd get a larger/better battery first. And/or upgrade that alternator wiring and alternator.

But that's my opinion.

my headlights always dim to the beat of my music but just think of them as strobe headlights and its all good

meh too.....................................although i do worry about the lifespan of the parts that are being affected; ie, alternator, battery, etc......................

i worry, yet i do absolutely nothing about it, haha, silly meh...........................

and if we dont drain the battery how can we ever buy a new one....i myself am looking forward to it..i want the optima yellow top so the sooner the better ...kinda
