So, the rear hatch of my 2015 CX-9 has a proximity sensor for the smart key fob, but the hatch doesn't automatically unlock when you go to lift the hatch, nor does it unlock when requesting the request button on the hatch itself. I can understand it not automatically unlocking when you go to lift the hatch, but I find it very strange that the request button doesn't unlock the hatch when the fob is within range. Is there any way to change this setting? Is this maybe something I'd have to go to the dealership to have them change?
