iPod Touch 2g Jailbroken

Hey, I'm new to the whole jailbreaking and I love it so far.

I was just wondering, I have Installous to get apps but on large downloads I usually loose internet connection for some reason and have to start over. What sucks is it always happens at different percentages and you can't just pick up where it stopped, you have to start over.

Any suggestions?

I have the same ipod 2g and i upgraded it to the 3.0 software, it cost money but i returned my ipod to get it for free

if your ipod is set up to autolock that kills the connection to appulous because it kinda leaves the application. so make sure u are either there to touch it and keep it from locking or a better way is to set the auto lock to "never". then when you are done downloading the app reset the "Auto-lock" it to the time you want so that it don't kill ur battery. ( go to " settings" -> "general" -> "auto-lock" )

another cause might be this... ( but i am 90 percent sure the first solution will take care of you cuz i also use appluous)
the problem could either be the wireless network your connecting you is timing you out. if the wifi network your home network that should not be the case because those types of networks don't time you out. Another possibility is that
