International Use of US Driver License

Does anyone know if a US Driver License may be used overseas? Meaning can i drive a vehicle in a foreign country with my US Driver License. If someone has a link to some sort of a list, i would GREATLY appriciate it. Thanks a bunch gang.

all you need to do is go to AAA and you can get an Intl Driver's License for $25 and its good for over a year. it depends on the country on what the official rules are. but moreso it depends on the policeman that pulls you over and the $25 is worth it not to be hassled (too much) in a foreign language to me.
