Hi,
I have a Mazda 323 Protege from 2000, and it has an intermittent electrical problem.
The dashboard back lights, clock back light, heater temperature back light, etc. turns off for a few minutes and then turns back on. The headlights, hazard lights, dashboard hazard lights, and a few other small lights in the car continue to work. The dimmer and turning the car off and on make no difference.
Since the lights start working again, I know it is not a blown fuse, but I don't really know what else to check or how to access these areas. I am great with circuits but not cars, and so any advice or suggestions are welcome!
