Insurance Claim - Am I getting taken?

I hit my car on a curb, and got it fixed for 647.85 + 250.00, so total at 897.85. The hit damaged my RF lower control arm, RR lateral link, and also had to replace brake rotors for these wheels. At another place, it was 250.00 for engine cradle repair, RT strut, floor pull, and alignment.

Now, when I go ~60-65 mph or above, there is a rattling noise, and the steering wheel vibrates very noticeably. The mechanic told me this was due to a bent rim, which is true, the RF rim is warped somewhat. Can this be the cause of the vibration, or should I call and have a nice little chat with him?

If it is bent, yes it will cause a vibration, but dont you have a spare? put a spare on there and see if it does it, it it still does there is something else wrong.

A bent wheel will almost always cause a vibration. Why wasn't this replaced in the original fix? If insurance was involved, this should've been spotted and addressed during the repair.

Since it wasn't (again if insurance is involved), you need to give your insurance agent a call and inform him that there's undiscovered damage. They'll file a supplement claim and have your repair center order you a new wheel.

(iagree) also make sure the balance weight didnt get knocked off, and if it did just take it in and get it rebalanced
