I was just wondering..........is there a point to install a turbo timer if I don't have turbo ?? Basically what I am asking is what other use is there ??

Ok, I'm not going to make fun of you, but I would like to make a point here. There is no reason for a turbo timer if you don't have a turbo. Hence the name TURBO timer. I get aggrevated when I see people with lots of extra gauges when they have done nothing to their car but install a CAI and maybe some indiglo gauges and some of those windshield washer lights. Come on, this is the reason people with import cars get called ricers.

Dont worry BigBen.........Ur not making fun of me........But I was just curiose.........Forgot to say that I wasn't planning or thinking of installing one.

But I've seen people install turbo timer but they dont have turbo, but its for the car to turn off it self after a certain amount of time..........They said they like their car to cool down after a long day of driving.........

I found the turbo timer very useful in 1 situation : When I go to a bank machine or when I pick up something off a restaurant, something like that, and I don't wanna switch off my A/C in the freaking hot summer day, I use the turbo timer to keep both the engine plus the A/C on and then arm the alarm. HAHA that's when the turbo timer is useful in a non-turbo car. Plus turning your engine on and off too frequently will hurt the alternator somehow in a long run am I right ?

Like it ? you guys might think I am stupid too haha

That's actually a pretty good idea. To keep the AC running and still be able to turn on the alarm. I think the motors vibrations would set off my alarm though.

Actually in Japan many NA car users use timers on their cars. A Normally Aspirated engine can have the same benifits from a cool down period as a turbo after hard runs.
