This is actually on my 2000 Protege. So over 12 years a haze has formed on the INSIDE of the lens (I think a small water leak contributed to this) I had started to try & clean the outside surface when I realized this. The reflector seems pretty clean.
Anyway, I want to clean it. I know I could pull the bumper and lamp and oven it, but looking for easier. The main obstacle is the bulb shield. Otherwise, I can just stick a rag on a stick in there & clean it.
Note the Protege is H4 bulbs, which is a bigger hole than P5s, do that may help.
Right now, I'm thinking I can either try to bend something around the shield, or just bend it down and try bending it back after cleaning.
Anyone else ever go thru this, or know how bendable the shield metal is?
