INJEN CAI Prob / Also, Flash + Injen info

Ok, yesterday (monday, 9/15) i got my car updated with the PCM flash. The car runs 100% better. More power in all gears, and a smoother ride over all. I am very happy about that. So today i decide to re-install my Injen CAI which has been sitting in my garage for a few months. I was one of the first 20 people to get it when they became availible. When i installed it the first time, it didnt fit right. Everything appears to look like it will fit but when you try and install it, things just dont fall into place. I had heard that when Injen was sending out the first batch of MSP CAI's (which included mine), they accidently sent some people the wrong secondary pipe. Well i cant figure out if i got the right one or the wrong one, but it does not fit correctly at all. Ive messed with it for hours and hours and it just doesnt wanna fit right. Here are some pictures i took today when i was re-installing it. Someone tell me if this looks ok or not. Btw, i cant fit the prongs on the secondary intake over the screw because the cone filter will not fit on the intake tube in the wheel well (if that makes sense... see the 4th picture). I just think that this CAI should fit better. I dunno, maybe its just me.

Btw, for anyone who has the flash and is wondering if the CAI still does any good, ID DOES!!! Major power! I took it on the freeway right after i installed it and WOW, its pretty quick now.

You need to turn the turbo/MAF pipe so it isn't hitting the BPV.
Mine sits farther forward than yours is.

The fourth pic looks like you don't have the coupling placed properly. It looks like you have metal to metal contact but no coupling connecting the two. Slide the coupling further towards your turbo and ease the pipe a little further from t-bo. This is hurting the entire fitment of the CAI. Try moving that coupling further then using the clamp closer to T-bo.

Am I missing something else that's not right?

Yea, ive tried it quite a few ways but no luck. If i slide the primary tube all the way on the turbo then the whole primary and secondary tube arent sitting upright because the primary tube is up against the BPV. Because its sitting at more of an angle towards the firewall, the metal prong wont fit on the screw and the cone filter will not fit on the tube inside the wheel well. Hard to explain but im doing my best. Im no beginner at this crap. Ive installed engines and transmissions n such, but this just seems to be impossible. The only other person here who has seen my problem first hand is SPICEY MSP.

I dont know, i like the performance, but i really do not like the sound. Im starting to think i will take it off for good and sell it. I should just get an MBC. Anyone want a new Injen CAI, thats been used for about 2 weeks total? $100 + shipping.

If i cant figure this out ill have to sell it, which i might just do anyway.

I didn't mean to sound elementary regarding your fitment issue it just kinda jumped out at me that the connection was all wrong down there. :) As far as the angles I can't make much out of it from the pics. It would be much easier in person. You need to get another speed side by side with yours and see if it is strictly the piping. If so, it's time to pester engine again.

As for the sound, is it the BPV, the T-bo, or the intake whoosh that's bugging you? Or possibly the intake rattling because it's not a proper fitment?

Unlikely, but is your rear motor mount broken? It sure seems like the turbo outlet is too high, like the motoer is leaning back and that is causing the intake to hit the BPV.

Yeah and I paid only $200 total for it!
