Good Analysis. Thank you. So, if we do get a CEL, just keep on driving and eventually the STF = LTF (or at least they're within 9% of each other) and the CEL will automatically reset ?
yep...my 1st cel didn't last but 5 miles but 2nd one held a lil bit. most will say to not reset pcm in case it isn't the intake setting it but unless you have the OBDII scanner thats the only thing to do unless you like the light in your face. the V6 is more suseptable to the cels than the 2.3 so the cels are usualy a few up front and then cool....I got my 1st cel withought an intake even intalled if that helps any (screwy)

it won't void unless they can prove it caused the dammage

not shure...check site...might still be pending

and yes......as long as you don't floor it all the time to hear the intake

1st thing you should do after you get it on and made shure it is on the right way after reconecting battery....on the drive roll the windows down and go under an overpass or bridge wot(thumb)

how is something thats supposed to increase power by allowing more air into the engine, thus more fuel, going to increase gas mileage?

It's all about efficiency.

sounds good, but engines are designed to be as efficient as possible already. more air equals more fuel any way you cut it, right?

I'm not talking about fuel efficiency, I'm talking about volumetric efficiency. Making the most power with each revolution of the engine.
Stock engines are designed for maximum fuel efficiency while staying within acceptable emmission standards. If you have better air flow, you get more air (and fuel) into the cylinders during each intake stroke and the engine requires less throttle opening to produce the same amount of power.

sounds good, but didnt someone say above that you will increase FUEL efficiency with an aftermarket intake kit?

Yes. If you increase volumetric efficiency, you also increase fuel efficiency because the engine is'nt working as hard.

Of course, that's only IF you keep your foot out of the throttle body. If you drive it like you stole it, it's gonna suck gas no matter how efficient it is.

Unfortunately... if you're adding aftermarket parts, then you're probably not a consertvative driver. (thumb)
