increase boost range above 5500 rpm!?!

First of all, I love my MS3 but why did Mazda limit the boost from 3000 - 5500 rpm? Is there a way to increase the range where the boost is effective, say to 6500 or closer to redline? I am new to turbo cars so please pardon my ignorance regarding forced induction. I am going to get the CP-E TBE system installed within the month and already have the Injen CAI but I don't think that will do much for the boost range. Any ideas?

I cant speak for the injen cai, but i know with the MS cai, it woke the car up from 5500 till about 6200

CPE TBE is ready to ship? You may be waiting more than a month if they are still having issues with getting hangers built.(sad2)

Boost is (i think) limited by the ecu so the only way to get more boost through higher rpm would be a piggyback system or new ecu.

Any engine mods that allow the car to breath better will give you some extra power up top. My ms cai, also maintains power longer than stock. Ecu mods are your best bet to open her up at high rpm's. All you have to do is turn up the boost.

I cannot find anyone who makes a good piggyback ecu. From what I read, since the MS3 is drive by wire, it is more difficult to modify the ECU. What have you guys heard? I wanted to order the CP-E TBE this week but did not know that they are still working on it.
