I bought a Pyle Radio/DC/DVD/Bluetooth stereo unit for the Protege. It has a LCD screen on the face for watching movies or a backup camera. It is a Pyle View PLDBT30U, and the instructions are kinda in Chinglish with no real indication where to wire the grey brake wire to. I have never hooked up a in car DVD. Does the grey brake wire go to the 12v hot wire or the GND? I assume it's going to be wired to 12V correct? Do I wire it to the wires for like the parking brake switch? Thanks ! ! ! ! !(dunno)

idk but i think you might need some kind of relay... and you will probably have to decrypt the chinglish instructions to see if the LCD wire is supposed to be ground or hot...

im sure there's a audio guru on the forums that can help... if not go to your local audio store and they should be able to help you... even though it's illegal they should still do it for you...

if not free 2min bump for you

its a ground its supposed to wire to your ebrake so you cant watch movies while driving....just ground it and put a toggle switch inline b/c some dvds make you engage and disengage the e brake to show its stopped... this way you just flip the switch back and forth
