If you just happen to remove a front seat from

a '24 or '25 CX-5, would you be kind enough measure the distance between the front and rear threaded holes that accept the screws that secure the seat to the chassis? Attached are a couple of screen captures from the internet that illustrate what dimension I want. One photo shows the relevant area with carpet removed and seat bolts partially screwed into the holes. The other shows the area with carpet in place but no bolts in the threaded holes. The red arrows show the distance I need. The distance can be from center-hole to center-hole, or from two identical locations on the outer edges of the holes. (Either way, the distance should be the same.)

I ask for this information because I would like 2" or so of additional legroom and need this information in order to fabricate some custom seat brackets "ahead of time" ...... meaning we don't have a vehicle yet. (If we already had the vehicle, I would not be submiting this post. I'd be making the brackets.:)) But right now, before purchasing a vehicle, I have the opportunity to buy a very inexpensive salvage seat from a '16 CX-5. If the salvage seat-rails' seat hole separation equals or closely matches that of the new seats, I will buy it, remove its seat rails and immediately use them to fabricate the custom brackets. The custom brackets will then be on the shelf, instantly available to be installed literally the day the vehicle enters our garage. If the hole separation does not match, I won't buy the salvage seat.

Thanks.
