Purpose:

Most vehicles have standard halogen lights which are not very bright. A standard H7 halogen bulb is rated at 1500 lumens. This kit brings that up to 3400 lumens which is more than twice as bright! This kit is a Xtec 6000K H7 HID kit from http://www.xenonexpert.com

What color should I choose?

4500K = Best light output, bright white, excellent looks
5000K = Great light output, pure white, excellent looks
6000K = Good light output, white with hint blue, best looks
For best visibility on the road, colors between 4500K~6000K is preferred.
Any temp colors above 6000K (8000K~12000K) do give you nice blue or purple looks, but you will lose visibility on the road.

The kit includes:

- 2 Xenon-Charged Bulbs
- 2 HID Ballasts
- 2 Wiring Harnesses & Connectors
- Heavy Duty Double-Sided tape for easy mounting of the ballasts

Tools Required:

Basic tools will do, but you might need socket or wrench depends on how you mount your ballasts.

Pre-Installation

I suggest you test the kit first before you install the kit. After test is done, I recommend that you disconnect the vehicle's negative battery terminal.

Installation: This is not intended to show how it should be done. This is only to show how I installed my system.

1. First, remove dust cap and carefully remove factory headlight bulbs.

2. Replace with Xenon-Charged Bulbs.

3. Most important thing, find the a mounting location for the ballasts.
 • For driver side: I have mounted ballast to the fuse box by drilling holes into it.

 • For Passenger side: I mount my ballast to empty space besides cruise control. however, double sided tapes did not hold a ballast strong enough, so I went to Menards and got myself L-shape braket.

4. Connect the power wire harness to the ballast.

5. Connect the HID bulb to the ballast using the factory headlight socket.

6. Make sure bulbs are secured tightly and dust cover cap is properly enclosed.

that's how mine sits. small square part of bulb bracket should be down.

great write up, I ordered a kit yesterday, can't wait for it to get here.. would you happen to have any pictures of where / how to adjust the aim of the headlights?

There is a nut on the back, it's gold and has a jagged gear/washer on it. Park infront of a garage door about 25-35feet and try turning it with a wrench...

No, Just make sure you get a place that is level and make sure also you get a nice balance between hight but not in the path of the oncoming drivers...

I would do this if you like..

Drive to a known location at night and park your car 25 feet from a wall. Mark with chalk on the wall where your light hits and on the road where your tires are.

The next day, do your swap then return to see if the lights are in the correct location. Make sure that the bulbs are seated properly or the light will be way off and it wil burn the little metal cap a bit...

thanks for the compliments guys :)
Brian MP5T: 8000K have nice blue looking light. if you prefer looks then you should go with 8000K but if you are looking for performance then go with anything between 4000K~6000K. :)
ChuEy826: which kit did you order? and adjusting headlight is really easy, like Brian MP5T said you just have to adjust gold nut on back of headlight and I think 10mm socket will do.
digitalricepape: what color are u getting?

How's the Fitment of the H7 HID? Does it comes with a adaptor inorder to fit our housing? Cause our H7 Need this spacer inorder to fit nicely. I remember i had to make a custom spacer for my Catz HID.

sounds easy enough, thanks for the heads up

Bijou-MP5, I'm getting 5000K.. I wanted a pure white with just a slight hint of blue.

queston about hid, do you have to worry about them gettin to hot and burning or melting anything?? or do they run cooler than the halogen bulbs?

nice right up by the way.

some ppl have problem with fitment, but mine fits fine.
you can buy rubber grommets from menards or homedepot.
