the aim of that how-to is to replace the LSD and nly that.
but, what if you didn't break the LSD but shattered a gear?
you will need to super clean the housing to remove any foreign metal parts from the gears....you don't want that stuff swiming around your LSD and brand new gears, right?
well, in order to super clean everything you need to remove everyhting first.
after following BurnTurfs how-to until right before re-assembly, you then can follow this guide to remove the gears and take them to a shop to have them ut new gears and save some money in disassembly, re-assembly charges by doing it yourself.
then remove this oil overflow thingy. it'll make things easier (10MM)
This is with everything disassebled ready to be pulled off.
Do not dare to remove the pin at the "A" arrow. you will definately gain about 1 hr more trying to put it back in place!!
just remove the pin at the "B" arrow, and leave that part there, don't try to take it off, it isn't nessesary to remove it...you'll save about 30 mins!
This is what happens when you have 500HP!!
and this is my welded LSD.
now, where can i find GTX gears?
lol
