well, if you are going further down the road as to actualy remove the 2 gear shafts from the transmission i hope this guide can help you accomplish that.

please, follow this awesome how-to made by TurfBurn
http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?p=999643#post999643

the aim of that how-to is to replace the LSD and nly that.

but, what if you didn't break the LSD but shattered a gear?
you will need to super clean the housing to remove any foreign metal parts from the gears....you don't want that stuff swiming around your LSD and brand new gears, right?

well, in order to super clean everything you need to remove everyhting first.

after following BurnTurfs how-to until right before re-assembly, you then can follow this guide to remove the gears and take them to a shop to have them ut new gears and save some money in disassembly, re-assembly charges by doing it yourself.

Do not dare to remove the pin at the "A" arrow. you will definately gain about 1 hr more trying to put it back in place!!
just remove the pin at the "B" arrow, and leave that part there, don't try to take it off, it isn't nessesary to remove it...you'll save about 30 mins!

pg has 3 and 4th , nsnmotorsport has 5th,

I'm gonna rebuild mine as well but will take the TBK ones (3rd & 4th) and get just the 5th GTX from nsn.

by next year i'll need the pink* lsd one.

good luck with the work
