What is a Lip Spoiler. Is it for a 4DR or 5DR?

Sorry, no instructions, but I do know that it's held up by double-sided tape and 3 bolts (so yes, you do need to drill holes, unless you forego Mazda's recommendations and use tape only).

I got my (In good quality painted) spoiler from ebay and it came with guides to be taped down for driling and 3rd brake light to be tapped int orignal one. I also bought the mazda deck delete plate to get rid of the big hole left behind from removing 3rd brake light. I also had a shop in waldorp put it on cheaper than the dealership would. so in response (shoot down) quality of all ebay spoiler hoax, My spoiler is oem quality for way under oem cost. dealership charges $450 for spoiler and ebay is $140 dealership wants $190 to instal locals charged $110 to include hiding wires in stock gromlets and housings. where did you get the spoiler from and did they offer instructions?

I got my lip spoiler oem already and i install it by myself. I got it in mazdasuff for 280 shipped. It comes with instruction and extra yaw damper. The color was really the same as my car so nothing to worry about the color. I just keep the extra yaw damper for future use. Ill post a pic next time.

I'd like to know also....

Was lucky enough to find a 3s 4door, 5speed w/ SP1 pkg in southwest Ohio. Hasn't even come in yet, and I am already planning on adding an OEM lip spoiler. I know it's not much for performance, but it looks sweeeeeet- giving a longer look to the short rear deck.
I have found OEM painted lips online as low as $240 (much cheaper than the $400 for a dealer install), but I am weary of drilling 3 holes in the trunk lid. Can anyone recommend what tape to use and offer instuctions on how to install the lip with tape only.
I work for a 3M distributor, so price on the tape is not really an issue- I want to us the best. (RTM)

If youll not gonna drill it ther's a possibility that it will come off later on specially when you drive in freeway most of the time. I bought mine in mazdastuff and it comes with a paper pattern dat you need to put at d top of the trunk before you drill. But its still up to you, I just recommend to drill coz its much more safer. Ill post a pic next time.

thanks!
3m does make vhb foam tapes that offer structural bonds, but i'm not sure which one to use that would offer the best adhesion to clear coat. I thought that might give me an option over drilling.

dunno I caught a few peole in the parking lot using my gawdame spoiler as a Fuggin support to pick of a penny or something!!! save up and have someone other than dealership install it. Retitable body shop can do it for cheaper than dealer would and at same or greater quality. I felt even better cause I got to watch them actually instal it!
