How in God’s name do you disable the auto-folding mirrors?

This is my switch. Press backwards to fold, forwards to return to open position but I tend to leave it level which folds automatically when the ignition is off.

Our switch is different...it's a rotary knob that rocks in 4 directions (much like the Commander Knob).

It SEEMS that your Auto override is for when the doors are locked and unlocked, and not for Ignition On/Ignition Off (if I read your manual correctly.) As you can see, ours has no such feature.
