Since everything is attached to the OEM head unit, forgetting about nav issues, and the big audio problem seems to be ipod/usb related, what if someone hooked up a third party black box (Grom or Xcarlink) and used that for ipod or usb sticks? I know it defeats the purpose of the factory trying to build in ipod/usb support to the head unit. But, if it actually works, and if it allows better control over ipod/usb than stock, what's the harm?
How dumb is this ipod/usb idea?
