How Do YOU wash your Mazdaspeed?

be as specific as you want=p

i am personally trying to find a good way to get those windows clean and sparkly, currently everything is nice and shiny except the windows, which is pretty hard for me to get to shine.

yea how do u get rid of thoes acid rain spots on the windows and paint i did the megires 3 step program and even used a clay bar!... these spots are driving me crazy:mad:

I actually get spots on the windows from the Meguir's shampoo. I think the water in my area is too soft to take off the soap from the windows. I use so little that it doesn't even hardly bubble up in the bucket but it still leaves white streaks down the windows. The best clean I get get from the windows seems to be from a shammy and warm water. Anybody have better ideas?

depends on the situation, if i need a quick wash nothing detailed, then i hit the laser wash basic without wheel cleaning, and i air blow dry it doing 80 - 100 on the freeway.

if i wanna do a good detail clean job, then I wash it on my driveway wax and detail the interior and wheels.

i bought this glass cleaner from a store called "linen's & things" out here in illinois. i stand by it. it's the best s*** ever. no streaks, smugs and anything. it's called "Hope's Perfect Glass." it's in a black bottle and it cost's $4.99..............try it if you find it.

I use Stoner, Invisible Glass on my windows. This stuff works awesome, it leaves them really clean with no streaks.(2thumbs)

yea that stuff works realy good i think it has something like rainx in ti cuz when it rains it just beads away but it does not get rid of acid rain spots i cant find any thing and it bugging me

I just washed mine two days ago for the first time (got her saturday)... it was sunny so that didnt help, had to keep it wet so the water didnt dry on it... Its going to take me a few times before I get the washing routine down..

Always in the shade....I use water with Meguiar's Gold Class wash (or Blue Coral wash), a large sponge. I use the California Water Blade for initial drying; then a chamois. NO TOWELS*. Towels cause swirls / scratches.

*However; I have just ordered some 'Micro Fiber' towels which cannot harm the paint, and are actually supposed to be quite excellent.

Between washes (if it doesn't rain), I use the California Duster in the mornings before I leave.

For the dash, I use the California Dash Duster.
On the tires: Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel.

i use mothers california gold soap. its pretty good i guess. i need some washing equipment. ive been using some towels the past couple times, making sure theres no debris on it.

as far as the windows go, i cannot get water spots off of them! help!

I use Zymol Car wash (smells like bannanas) with a soft wash mit. After each section (top down of course) I hose off the mit to get off anything that could scratch the paint.

I usually go:
0. Wheels (with a separate wheel mit)
.5 Hose car down REALLY good
1. Roof/ Windows
2. hood/trunk
3. sides of car (only top 1/2)
4. bottom end of sides (minus the splash stuff on the VERY bottom)
5. Front and rear bumpers & lights
6. Very bottom to under rocker pannels for the dirtiest of the dirty
7. California blade
8. Chamois
9. Quick drive to get out the running water
10. Spot dry
11. Old rag for door jams, trunk jams, etc.
12. No Touch Tire Spray
13. Meguairs Quick Detail
14. Wipe off excess tire spray ( I hate that s*** when it splashes on the clean paint  )

And that's it. I've gotten it down to about 1/2 hour it takes to wash.

Exactly!! That is one reason I quit using tire spray. The Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel is excellent!! It comes with an applicator. Very nice! And; it lasts a lot longer than then a spray.

Hey AGR,

I have heard that the Gel (if it comes into contact w/ paint) can stain if left on there for awhile....

Is this true?

It mentions on the packaging to avoid contact with 'plastic' painted areas, I think. I just spread it on thin (tires only - ha!). Then; I rolled the car forward (or back) to cover the lower side. Looks good. My buddy with the Electron Blue Civic Si has been using it for a long time, and swears by it. I got tired of Armor-All, and that other spray on crap. This is my first bottle, and I really like it.
