How do you take off the Mazda Emblems?

I would like to take the Mazda Emblems off to paint them either black or some kind of gunmetal color. Is the front emblem held on with glue or something?and how do you take the one in the back off without messing either the paint up or the emblem?

When i painted my front emblem black i just took off the grill and tape around everything then just painted it with it still on the grill, it didnt turn out bad at all.

They are just held on with double stick tape. wait for a hot day and get some dental flass and possibly a hair dryer on lo heat and mke sure they are warm. with the floss slide it behind the badge and it will come off. It took a little sawing with the flass to get them to come off. All badges have pegs on the rear of them so if you hit a snag thats probly what it is.
