How do I stay on nonfavorite radio stations without having to push Next button really hard?

I've discovered that I have to continue to push the seek button pretty hard in order to continue scanning nonfavorite stations. Guess I'll have to work on building up my thumb muscles.

If the tuner works the same way as the 2019 tuner you can select tuner from one of the buttons at the bottom of the screen. It will bring up a screen that looks like a speedometer with radio frequencies.
Then use the commander knob to tune to the station you want.
