How do I get my rims off?

I got a flat and I'm trying to change my tire but it won't come off. I've taken off all the lug nuts and the mazda emblem and it still won't come off. Am I missing something or am I just an idiot? I have the stock racing hart rims.

give it (the wheel) a slight kick towards the top..it will come off.

step 1: loosin lug nuts a bit(remember wheel lock if you have them installed)
step 2: jack car up
step 3: remove lug nuts
step 4: remove mazda emblem
step 5: take tire off
step 6: put spare on
step 7: put back stuff you took off
step 8: lower car
step 9: re-tighten
step 10: go get a new tire
step 11: zoom-zoom!

If I kick it any harder I'm going to knock my car off the jack.

Step 4 is not necessary.

I had to take mine to a dealer, the metals fused together. Might be happening to you too.

Looks like I have to find me some WD40 and a rubber mallet. Is the WD40 going to ruin the finish on my rims?

WD40 and rubber mallet...not...working... My tire is too flat to drive it anywhere. I hate towing companies.

This has happened to me everytime I try to take my wheels off. Just keep going at it with the rubber mallet from the front and behind the wheel. It'll budge eventually.

Don't spray the rim only the wheel studs, and the back of the rim where it meets the hub and kick the s*** out of the rim but leave a lug nut on there loose, I learned my lesson. That's how I got mine off the first time, I had it on a lift and it would not budge so I lowered it a bit and started kicking it til it finally can off, yeah I hurt my foot maybe hit it with a rubber mallet.

Thanks everybody! I love this community! I finally got it off. I took the handle to my hydraulic pump and pried it off. I stuck it behind the rim against the brake pads and pulled. POP!! Yeeeaaahhhh buddy!

Whenever mine have been stuck some really hot water (steaming hot from the sink, no need to boil it) poured between the wheel and the rotor hub worked.

sorry for the rant, but what is with people's fascination with WD40. IT IS NOT A LUBRICANT!!! wd= water displacement = i eat any leftover lubricant leaving parts dry and crusty.

do yourself a favor, go buy a can of anti-seize and spray it on your hub then put your rims back on. this is the part of the rotor that touches the rim, it will save you headaches in getting them off in the future

/rant off

There's a nice round hole in the tire. Looks like somebody drilled a hole in it. I don't know what I hit. Thanks again everybody.

PS: Are there any msp owners on this forum out here in Nothern VA?

Scroll down to the bottom of the index and check out the MEC forum. That's the DC/NoVA/MD area club. Many of them have sold their MSP's already and moved on to EVO's and other cars, but there are still some Pro's in the group. Nice folks, very active, frequent meets.
