Yahoo has screwed up your site...but trust me, I've seen enough of bent Proteges in the past few months to last me a long time.
That said, I agree with the statement that the Protege is a tough little trooper (no, wait that's Isuzu) it's a tough little customer in an accident. The car is designed to "lay down its life for the protection of yours" if necessary. My run-in with a Nissan back in February showed me that. Nissan Altima driver had a trashed cooling system, lighting wiped out and the whole front clip mashed back to the front of the engine. Airbags fired on the Nissan, the windshield cracked like his head beat the bag to it. He walked away.
In the MP3, taking a side impact, the front end and left front suspension took the hit. Interior of car was fine (coffee slopped in cup holder, but hell, it does that going forward!). Passenger and driver opened the doors and walked out.
The MP3 drives fine with no problems or even cosmetic issues. If the body shop doing the repair doesn't deal with mechanical issues and align up the panels at LEAST as good as factory -- then they didn't do their job. Never put up with s*** work.
