Ok...when I bought my aftermarket wheels, I wasn't considering lowering my car since it's a daily commuter and a baby hauler. Well now I've been bitten by the lowering bug. But I'm concerned about rubbing which I can't afford to have.

Here's the deal...
17x7, 42 offset, 205/40/17 tires

Please keep in mind that I have an ES sedan, NOT a Pro5. Also, I'll have two baby seats in the back, a stroller and sometimes groceries in the trunk.

Thanks for the help. Please be gentle :-P

Also, what can I expect to pay for the springs installation?? I'm sure not going to do it myself!

fender rubbing

i dont see a problem with it rubbing in the front the back is what you will have to worry about all you need to do is roll the outside lip of the rear fender thats all i did and im tucking 19's when i set my car completely down (airbags)and they dont rubon the outside of the wheel but they rub on the tire because they are sitting on the inside of the fender but you want have that problem if you are just using springs hope this helps out a little
oh on the spring im not sure what other people charge but we charge $45 a corner to install the spring and put the strut back in the car
heres a pic so you can see that you should not have a problem

Thanks!

I've read the fitment thread many, many times...I was just hoping someone here would have the same setup as me and can confirm for me the rubbing issue.

if you need help lowering you car. i could try an help. or direct you to a shop that could do it for you. i also have 19's on my p5, all i did was shaved the fenders.

Thanks!

I rather not do anything with the fenders if I don't have to. If I have to avoid rubbing, I'll probably decide not to lower the car.

Which shop do you go to?

any shop that can replace your struts can replace you springs. Whether they will or not is up to them. If you need springs i have some specials on them this month
