Okay, I was driving to a meeting today going about 60 mph on a four lane highway and I was enjoying the nice, cooler weather. All of the sudden I hit something which appeared to be like flattened cardboard boxes with a red pink color to it. I had no time to swerve and I only caught the objects out of the corner of my eye. I ran over the stuff with the right side of my vehicle. Not a loud noise at all. I was going to be late for the meeting so I did not stop and just assumed I hit some boxes.
After my meeting, I get to the dealer to check out my brakes which were squealing yesterday and they have me come check out my car. There is this pink gloppy, greasy stuff all on the underside of my car, on my rims and some light splattering up the side of the car. I was pissed and remembered it had to have come from what I hit. I went to a coin wash and sprayed the underside and used the brush. This stuff is hard to remove. I put my hand underneath the side sill and pulled out a handful of greasy glop, pink in color. It was a b**** to clean of my hand, which still feels a little greasy and smells like petroleum jelly (i.e. Vaseline). This is going to be hard to clean off. I am thinking of trying dawn or simple green in a power washer for the underside (def no power washer on the paint) and dawn and a sponge on the body.
Any ideas what this was or how to clean it???? Doesn't seem to harden at all.
