I am really confused. I bought new bulbs since my bulbs burnt out.

The base of the bulb (h7) is so thin. How did you guys mount this with the clip securely holding the bulb down? My old kit has a thick base (about 1/2" thick) and the clip holds the bulb in, but with this bulb, the clip doesnt even touch it.

HELP!

Look at this image:

The base of the bulbs are so much thicker (my kit, not my picture).

muahahahaha I had that same prob and was like WTF is this the wrong kit....iono tho I just snapped that metal clip on good as I could, one side had some play but wasnt too bad... when I drive it doesnt move at all, maybe you have to do something else but iono mine turned out fine

No problem. Good to know im not the only one hehe.

Bump!

I stacked a bunch of washers together untill the bulb was held snugly in place. Sounds a little silly but works great.

the stock bulb has a spacer on it, so you have to either figure something out to space between the new bulb and the clip, or bend the wire clip to hold the bulb.

Did your previous HID kit include a black "cap" or spacer? Both my kits had a little black plastic cup that i had to put on the base of the bulbs and then clip into place.

Also, i COULD NOT get the clip to clip over the "cup" with the headlights in the car. I had to remove all 4 to get the bulbs in

you had to take the headlights out? omg...i know they're a pain but i've never had to remove the lights??

My car came with a Viper car alarm with the siren speaker mounted directly behind driver's side light, so, there is no way I could even pull out the stock bulb. And, i've pulled the bumper enough times i can get it off the car in no time. Made life easier

Cool thanks guys. I guess I have to make something to hold the bulb in place. What every happened to plug and play :\

Any more suggestions/comments are welcomed. Thanks again!

i bent the clip on mine, and since i broke the clip off of one side about a year ago
i just took the whole headlight off on that side and screwed the metal clip in at a different angle to hold the bulb in, the lights are both even and not aimed directly at peoples eyes like they were before

dude forrealz?
wow i guess im lucky then
cause i just put the space on the bulb and the clip thing went RIGHT over the spacer fine and my bulbs are in place perfectly
no shaving no nothing

i'll try to have pictures up later ina bit when i go out to clean up the car
btw i put a small hole thru the water seal thing that covers the back of the low beam hole so that i could put the 2 metal wires thru that hole and connect it to the plug on the car

yep, i had to use my reg spacer thats on the factory bulbs. i just had a bulb go out and 2 ballest go out so far.. about 9 months of running time too.. so the ebay kits are cheap, and you get what you pay for..

i got me the Apexcone DDM Kit
(140shippd and it says 130 but really they add in 10more bucks)

heres sum pictures of how i had mine set up
the bulb is held in by the spacer thing which is then held in by the clip
then i have a hole in the water sealent so that teh bare metal wires goes from outside into the hole that i just made to connect to the plug from the inside so water cant get thru the wires
