HELP: Installing Alarm/Remote Starter

This one thing I'm not sure about is how to wire the central door lock
system. I know that our cars run a negative single wire to lock and unlock
the doors....

I know you need 2 relays to make the alarm lock and unlock

Heres how I got it hooked up....please correct me if I'm wrong....

1st Relay & 2nd Relay
87 - Ground
86 - 12v Constant +

1st Relay
85 - Lock pulse from the alarm
30 - Lock wire to the - single wire (lt green/red)

2nd Relay
85 - Unlock pulse from the alarm
30 - Unlock wire to the - single wire (lt. green/red) w/ 1.5 K ohm Resistor

I need to know if this set up is correct....I haven't tried it out yet
coz I dont have em all connected....I will try them tomorrow...

If anybody has a different set-up with their alarm install, please speak-up

I fixed the diagram of exactly this in the alarm remote starter thread, check it out.

The only mistake is that its the lock wire that needs the resistor, not the unlock.
You'll notice the diagram has +12 volts on terminal 85 not 86. It doesn't actualy matter. Terminals 85 and 86 are interchangable on 99% of SPDT relays.

keyless remote and remote starter....

All this time, I thought it was an alarm system also....

The brand is 1WFM 4button Compustar (not the pager)

Do you know if theres a Car Alarm add-ons out there ?
If so, can you name some?

I know that it can be done because this alarm has a
- rearm/disarm output wire which I'm sure that goes to
the add-on alarm....

I can't hlep you much their. I haven't delt with compustar much. DEI usualy works it the other way where the remote starter is addable. I'd call compustar.
