Headlight System Malfunction

Just got the CX-70 fuel level and MEHV battery software fixes done yesterday at the dealership. This morning when I drove the car I got a headlight system malfunction warning. Also, the switch to turn off the headlights will not stay in the off position.

Anyone have this issue? I just contacted the dealer and am waiting their reply.

There's a TSB for the headlight malfunction. They should just need to update the software.

As far as the OFF position on the headlight/signal stalk. Thats normal on pretty much every newer mazda. Its spring loaded. They only want you to be able to turn the DRL off when completely stationary. If you turn them off, as soon as you start moving forward or in reverse they'll turn back on and default position will be AUTO.

Probably because so many dummies drive with their lights off at night with how bright DRL have become.
