Has anyone here put headlight protection film (i.e. 3M ScotchCal, xPel, etc) on their lights? I'd like to, but am not sure there if anyone makes a "pre-cut" kit, or I should just buy in bulk and cut it.
I have seen the kits for the headlights but am still looking for the kits for the entire front end of our cars. I can't even find anybody to do a custom one. I really don't like the look of the bras or anything else and my friend with the viper has had the 3m stuff on everyone of his cars and he swares by it. if anyone knows of a company that sells a kit for our cars let me know.
if you do a search you'll be able to find it. I remember a long long time ago one of the member here did the whole front end or the whole car for about $600+. It was made for the P5.
I have a product from StonGuard on my car that protects the headlights as well as the foglights... I think I paid $37.00 for both. I ordered them from www.autoseattle.com. You can't tell they are there, unless you look from about a foot away. Someone here has the entire front of their P5 done on the site, but I can't remember who it is.
Nope. It looks exactly the same as without the film. I've had the film on the Fog-lights for 8 months, and it is still crystal clear. The lights are just as bright and clear as before, just protected now.
In fact, the only way to actually see the stuff is to look from the side of the headlight, and then all you can see is that the surface is raised up by an 1/8 inch or so. I'm glad I got it, as I had a rock hit my left headlight last week sometime... I saw it hit, and figured without the stongard it would have destroyed my headlight.
