Has anyone figured out how to turbo an ATX

I'm about to pay off my car loan on my 04. I' heard of several turbo kits for this car but no one has addressed the ATX. Please don't give me the "macho""
B/S about auto's are for sissies. Someday you'll reach that age. Does anyone make a turbo kit for the 3 with an automatic transmission ?

regardless of the transmission, the engine is the same. Nobody is gonna give you a ,acho answer like that but I will say that in addition to the cost of the turbo kit + any labor, you should consider the cost of beefing up the transmission because I promise the stock AT will not survive long.

i personally know someone who's turbo'd a 2.3L ATX hatch, it's sick, in the end after buying the parts, upgrading the engine and labor, it's gonna cost you nearly $8k, you're better off trading it in for mazdaspeed 3 if you're nearly done paying for your car.

8k seems high to me, im planning on doing it and the kit i want is 3400 (tri point kit) i also plan on using a beefy tranny cooler....aside from that just careful moderated use and it should be fine. but not 8k, i am also doing my own labor.

Plenty of people have turboed an ATX. If you sign up on the mz3forums then you can see all the people that have. That is a much better site for mazda3

btw, you can now get a full kit for about 2100 from f2 without the ecu and buy an aem fic for 400. there you go, boost for 2500 bucks
