it's done with the save state function on an emu - I'm not saying it's not impressive, just not as impressive as you think.

Do a search in google for "Time attack" and "metroid prime"

No emulators - true gameplay. This kid slaughters the game on gamecube in about an hour. He's got tricks galore - every safe spot while fighting bosses, and every collision error jumppoint on the map imaginable fully exploited.
