I've had some discussions with Derrick about possibly doing a silicone hose kit for the MS6. He said that they will consider it if there is enough interest and said I could do a group interest thread on it.
As far as I know, there have been some people to do a top radiator hose for the MS6, but, nobody has done the heater hoses. So, if Corksport does it, I think they will be the only ones on the market.
So, what would be the advantages of going with silicone hoses? Well, if nothing else, it should actually be a cost savings compared to getting new factory hoses. I priced stock heater hoses at my dealer and they wanted $160/ea, $320 for the pair! Add to it the rest of the hoses, and a stock set of hoses runs over $500!
Secondly, silicone hoses are of course known for higher temperature and durability, which is why people replace rubber hoses with silicone.
Third, possibility, Corksport might combine the multipiece stock lower hose into a single piece. They did that with the MS3 kit and I hope they do it with the MS6 kit.
I don't know how much it would cost. For point of reference the MS3 kit is $189, but he hasn't said what kind of price an MS6 kit would be if it is made. Even if the kit is more for the 6, it should be cheaper than factory hoses, and much better quality.
