Gracenote: Update or not?

I'm having the same problem as others and don't seem to get the proper file and unable to update. Is the download the same for the different models? I have a 2014 GT and that's what's I put in to get to the download.

Actually, I have found the software on the forum somewhere, it has to be 18MB in size. I don't remember, where I have found it though.

I've found several links, but none of them actually get to the proper file. I don't understand how Mazda hasn't fixed this on the site. Even the instructions tell you that the file should be named update.package and not whatever the large file name is that's showing up. Makes me wonder what would happen if we just change the name of that file though. Could totally hose the system I would think.

I did the update and there was nothing new. I don't get album covers or any new info when using iphone, android or ipod.

For how poorly it runs I don't understand why the usb mode doesn't just run off the Ipod system like it would with a aftermarket stereo. At least then it would retain the skip when shuffling and pre-set equalizer data.

Has anyone else had an error where, when you try to select a play list it will only open the one that you previously had open? Or when you plug in an alternate device all the menu and song information is from the first device?
