Going to miss you guys...

I just resigned from my job as a graphic designer to become a visual merchandiser (store displays, etc. - like "Hollywood" in that 80's movie Mannequin ). This means that I won't be at a computer all day anymore, thus will miss out on a lot that happens in here. It's such a pleasure logging in throughout the day, discovering what's new with my "friends," and finding surprises all the time. It makes such a big difference in my daily grind...

It's not to say that I'm disappearing forever, but I have so much stuff to do after work that I don't have time to be online too much. I'll be missing out on BigBlue's picture story, Jc's log distance relationship, and countless pics of Honda's looking stupid... LOL.

Anyway, I've got two weeks before I start the new job, so until then I'm going to enjoy as much time in here as I can! After that, I'll be kinda scarce but missing you guys a bunch! Gosh, I sound like I don't have a life, but you know how I feel don't ya?

Indeed, I do. I love this board, too. It's always sad to see a friend disappear from a congregation, even when it is for the best of reasons (good luck on the new job, Ari!).

I guess this is a good time to let everyone know that I will not be around as often either. I'm taking a certification training sequence starting next week that will be grueling and time-consuming. Beyond the classes, my job and my hobbies, I will be left with very little goof-off time. I'm disheartened that I will not be able to engage in the fun and emotionally-purifying banter which I have grown so accustomed to here.

So, best of luck to everyone and thanks so much for brightening my world. I'll see you around every once in a while...when you least expect me!

Oh...adragonfly...why I remember when you were just a newbie...I think you posted something about just getting the p5 and telling all your friends??? Anyway, you've become one of the family now.

Congrats on the new job...were you getting tired of working on the computer all day (which happens a lot in GD)? Are you going to pursue GD at all or stay in the direction of your next job?

This site IS a part of my life (and yes I do have a life).

Ari, you know as well as I do that after a short time you will start having withdrawals....not that you are going away...and I WON'T say goodbye...as you said..you're not leaving...just not going to have as much time.....for which I will say..."see ya around"....and you BETTER come around....or we will all turn into stalkers and hunt you down! lol

You guys are ALL so sweet... I'm NOT saying good-bye, just letting you all know I'll miss you, that's all. My job now was okay, but I'm moving on because I'm getting paid more (not much more, but more).

I don't plan to stay in that field forever, either. It's just a part of my life plan - work a bit to pay off the undergrad loans then go back to school and get back into debt all over again! I plan on taking the LSAT as soon as I can just to see if I've got what it takes to go to law school. I kinda want to go into copyright infringement/intellectual property law. I want to represent artists and other creative professionals whose ideas heve been stolen.

I've always known I wouldn't be happy with just a bachelor's degree so graduate school was not out of the question for me. Wish I could go right away, but I've got bills to pay first!

If there any rich men out there who want to marry me, pay off my loans, and support me while I'm going to law school, pm me! (I hope you guys know I'm joking!)
