Okay, for those of you unfamiliar with what Deals Gap is, it is also known as US-129, and is composed of 110+ turns in the span of roughly 14 miles. It is a favourite destination of sport bike riders and touring enthusiasts alike. So here's the deal (no pun intended): I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a drive up to Deals Gap for a day, or a weekend of corner carving fun. I see this taking place in spring time, and with this amount of forewarning, we could probabely coordinate with other segments of Mazdas247, and have an oppurtunity to meet more people from the forums.
The only real kicker I see here is the price of gas, but it is roughly 150 miles (from Georgia), which is around a half a tank there and back (we drive Proteges and Miatas for goodness sakes!) so the overall fuel cost would be negligible.
I've been wanting to go up there for quite some time, and I think it would be a great oppurtunity to branch out in the community as well, just my .02
