Ghost Rider Motorcycle wheelie between trucks

I've done that. Avoiding the **** that turned left in front of me.

not at those speeds i would imagine dear god... 285kmh between those two trucks is insane..

Ghostrider is one of the craziest but most talented riders I have ever seen.

Wouldn't that have a wind tunnel effect and blow him around?? Think about the push you get when passing one truck.

No, it was at around 50mph - but I still needed to check my drawers. A lady in a Suburban was turning left into a local aerospace plant where the workers were on strike and picketing the entrance. She was turning left into the main driveway and flat out didn't look down the road before she turned (as she was focused on the picketers). I'm sure she doesn't even know that she almost killed me. Her truck was like a brick wall across the entire two lanes. I couldn't stop in time, or go to the right, so I aimed my bike into oncoming traffic and slipped between two cars going in the other direction. I jerked over to right side of the road, stopped and almost dumped the bike as my legs had turned to jello. Definately not as cool as Ghostrider ...

I've done that, back in the day. Until I got hit by a ford ranger. I stick to cars now.

Did a study on motorcycle collisions for my research project during my Orthopaedics residency. Most common accident configuration involving another vehicle WAS.........car turning left in front of unsuspecting bike rider. Typically, they didn't even see the bike that they cut off.

OMG LMAO! That is exactly what happend to me. I was behind this old guy and he pulled over to the right so I thought he was turning right. NOPE he was making a ******* U turn and when I passed him he hit me. My foot got stuck between his fender and front bumper (which is steal). Luckly his bumper also hit the rear shock on my bike and that pulled the bumper far enough off that my foot cam out. I shattered 4 bones in it.

So, granted, I've never even been on a two wheeled beast, so don't start flaming. That being said, I've seen a ton of his videos and him going between two trucks that are about 1 1/2 car widths apart when no other traffic is around does't seem that impressive.........With his speed I don't think the wind tunnel effect would really have an effect......basically, my question to the motorcycle guys is what's so hard about that? Again, not trying to dismiss this guys talent, just asking because it seems to be a "controlled enviornment" since he knows the truck dirvers (cameras on the trucks) and there's no other cars.

Granted, it was a "controlled" environment, but lets think about this. The trucks were straddling the white line so I would give them 4-5 ft apart at most. Second, he was doing a wheelie between them. If you watch even a portion of the videos on Streetfire.net you will realize that wheelies are not as easy to control as you might think, especially not when traffic is rushing toward you. Third, consider the speed at which he performed this trick. Not only did he control his wheelie at speed (imagine keeping the bike successfully leaned back at a 45 degree angle at over 250 kmh), but he succssfully navigated it between two oncoming trucks (each travelling at speeds of at least 50 kmh) while hurtling in the opposite direction in a position where his visibility of the road and the trucks is quite limited. Had he struck one of the trucks the combined speed of impact would be more than 300 kmh I am certain. That is amazing.

Ghostrider is crazy, but I don't think that he has a deathwish. Had he performed this stunt on a busy road during normal traffic THAT would be a deathwish.

Just my humble $0.02.
