Hey guys, I thought this would be a good place to get some information from you on alarm systems. Last night some dick broke into my car while I was playing hockey in Dartmouth. Anyway, decided that maybe it's time to invest in an alarm. I looked at 2 alarms today - a Viper 350HV at Atlantic Car Stereo ($299 installed), and an Ungo S100 at Halifax Car Audio ($199 installed). The Ungo seems to have more features. Just curious what you guys think about a) the alarms, and b) the place to get it installed. I'm not looking to spend much more than $300. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

dude ya got any pics of ur car...seems like a sweet ride....

as for the alarm ...my buddy has a viper...seems to work great...but hey if the other one has more features and is cheaper....well then...money talks then dont it

I haven't had any experience with either alarms ( i have a compustar) but regardless which one you get i'd recommend some sort of pager. One of my friends car was be broken into at the time and good thing for the pager. At first we were all just taking it lightly and was like probably a false alarm. But it kept going off so we all ran outside and caught the f*cker trying to get away with it. The pager saved the day.

i bought a hornet (viper) and pros sound on kempt road installed it for liek under $200, mind yhou there are't many features, but a starter kill switch is available..
