Gearbox mount

Does anyone know what size diameter bushes go in the gearbox to subframe mount? My mount is kaput
, phoned up my local dealer and im sure they keep all there spares in japan as anything i need from them will take 2 weeks to get here.

Im wondering if i can buy the bushes seperate and press them in myself??

You might be able to fill it in with something. Some of the guys on here were modifying their stock mounts. You were talking about this guy right?

I don't think theres a universal type bushing to fit into these. You'd probably still have to go through the dealer or other mazda parts distributor. There are also a couple options for aftermarket mounts which are much more sturdy depending on how much NVH is acceptable to you, but you'd still end up having to wait a bit for it.

Thats the mount im on about. I have filled it in with some silicone and seems to have done the trick.

I have ordered a new mount from mazda. When i take my old one off i will be taking all the dimensions for the bushes and im in contact with powerflex. They do some universal bushes in polyurethane so fingers crossed they will fit with the dimensions i supply. Will update again once i have some news.

This is what I've had on my car for about 2 years. In the 70 durometer flavor.

The stock mount cannot take any universal bushings.

The front bushing is about 2" wide, the rear bushing is 2.3" wide roughly.


I built my own mount and now accepts universal poly bushings.
