Gas prices...OUCH!

Mazda5 the Anti-Van
As much as it hurts, I am at least comforted that I am getting 24 mpg right now, when I could have gotten something bigger and been getting 16 mpg. So we're up at least 30 cents over the last 2 weeks. How about you guys?

I have to agree. Worst thing for us canadians is we are a net exporter of oil, (we get less than 2% of our oil from lybia) and we're paying $1.20 a litre ( or $4.80 a gallon) We really have to stop exporting all our oil and start using it ourselves!!

Yeah, but...We're still your friends down here, right? (wink)

I can agree with you, I have read that Canada is going to be signing a deal with China to export oil to them

$3.35 for the cheap stuff here and $3.59 for premium...Kinda a sucky time to get rid of the 5 for a Turbo'd car that uses premium

Meh.... I make enough money to not sweat gas prices.
Although I do agree they're way out of hand, and the cheapest I've seen here (Louisiana) has been $3.18 for regular.

Please don't take my post as pompus or stuck up, I'm entirely not that way at all.

Naw, you just sound single, w/a good job. The other end of the spectrum is married w/4 (good) kids and a job where you earn less than you're worth. Then $3.15/gal may seem like a great deal to those of you in the rest of the US, but its plain sucky to put $50 in your car when you are used to $40 (and can remember $17)

2.62 for regular here now. there is still a station for 2.49 though... not sure why the other is so bad. also, they do that stupid cash vs credit thing here.

I filled up on Wed AM and put just over $60 into my tank. I'm in Canada and our gas prices are a bit higher than in the US.

$1.31/litre in Vancouver. That's $5 US per gallon.

No wonder smaller cars are more popular in Canada. :)
