Hi there, was hoping you could explain something to me.......

I was giving the car a bit of abuse driving to work one morning and when I got onto the main drag put my foot to the floor and when my 6 MPS got to about 3500-4000k revs it jolted/bucked badly and so I let off the gas...... tried to accelerate again and it did the same thing at the same revs..... I took it easy the rest of the journey and have not had the same experience since! I dont know what caused this one off incident in a year of owning the car... any ideas? Thanks.

My car only has a AEM CAI, Turbosmart BOV (hybrid setup). I am awaiting an ETS TMIC and some Denso ITV22 spark plugs.

Do you have anything to log what's going on under the hood?

If not..i would immediately check the CAI..make sure all the clamps are tight.

I have checked under the hood and everything is nice and secure....as mentioned the incident has not happened since - even when I get on the loud pedal!! Gonna install a boost gauge next week for some peace of mind.

i would suggest getting a dashawk.. that way there u can monitor whats going on if it happens again..

fuel cut is caused my a drop in fuel pressure, but with your mods i doubt thats it. boost cut is cause from over boosting. as the weather gets colder more people experiences because yes you will get more air in so that more air will demand more fuel and if your fuel pump can't keep up then it cuts.

same thing happened to me earlier this week when it dropped into the low 30' F here in MN. CAI,TIP,ETS,TP. Mine was between 2nd and 3rd at 4-5krpm or so, stumbled and bucked, felt like a sudden boost leak or something. Makes a guy nervous.

Normal issue. Don't beat on the car until it is FULLY warmed up, especially in cool/cold weather.

same thing happened to me the other day. Im pretty bolted and running on stage 2 91oct on my AP. car did it maybe 2-3 times and never did it again. i swapped out my spark plugs and made sure all my clamps were nice and tight on the fmic and cobb sri. It hasnt happened again.

makes me nervous though
