Aight I got flashed on friday,greddy profec b spec 2 went in on saturday detonated at 10lbs and had to drop to 8lbs. now the dayum fuel cut is kickin in. can somebody tell me WTF to do other than get a FCD?
 
How do you know you were detonating, are you 100% positive because people have said you can't hear it and there's guys running 12psi with the flash that haven't had any problems.

As for the fuel cut just get the FCD from JoeP, I have it, it works great and In all my time having the car and boosting well over 10psi I have never once hit the fuel cut.
 
Try resetting the ECU. I bet any money that if the ECU sees detonation after the reset, it will cut out if it sees any voltage at the MAF above what the factory boost would send. :D
 
yea theres only a couple of places that sell 100 octain at the pumps. resetting the ecu how so? i already got the flash .
 
You reset it by disconnecting the negative terminal at the batt for about 30 seconds. It will erase all the "short term data" out of the ecus memory. The eprom stuff will still be there.
 
becareful of going ot higher octane than 100. high octane gas has a chance of being leaded and taht can ruin your pollution control device aka cat. just to help you out. And back to topic, I think Sunoco has these ultra gas, you just have to ask the clerk inside for it, it's like 5 bucks a gallon, and it's blue. hehe. got this info from a scubbie owner with an ej20 sti
