FSB/RSB question / need updates

I have read most of the posts about installing RSB and FSB on our MS3's. I wonder if some of the members that have tracked with RSB only and added the FSB later, what was your observation and results? Any Updates and recent thoughts?

I do open track and plan to install the RSB and perhaps FSB in lieu of spring / damper changes.

Thanks

I've tracked my car with the stock bars and with an adjustable rear bar and stock front bar. The RSB alone, Tri-Point set to medium stiffness, worked wonderfully. Much better balance in low speed corners and much more power traction on corner exits. Body roll was reduced as well and so were my lap times.

I don't really see the need for a thicker front bar in this car. But there is very much a need for upgraded dampers, which will do more in general than any swaybar upgrades. It's generally a bad idea to add more spring to a car that's under-damped to begin with, even if it's just from a sway bar. So I'd go with dampers first, then a rear bar, then tires.

I've got a hotchkis rsb in mine and it's the s***. the car is so much more stable now and cornering is fantastic. I dont think you will be disappointed with any.

Hotchkis RSB only, Autox days I can feel a big difference in my turn in response. A bit more neutral. I'm using the softer setting for now, for everyday driving very solid feel.

Thanks for the feedback. I will be on the track late Feb. and have 4+ more events planned this year.

I will post the results from this first run. I don't plan other changes other than the rsb at this time. My prior track cars had heavy suspension mods, and measured against those, the MS3 holds its own.

I think i'm going to get in contact with Cobb regarding the FSB because I've got both bars. I've only installed the rear, and i've only heard horror stories about how the FSB causes the car to push obnoxiously hard in turns. I'll guess we'll see..

If you only did the front I could imagine that but if you did both I'd imagine it would be ok.

Like I told you Heb, seems like the install is a pita and everyone keeps saying it's not worth it. But...I have it, I may as well install it?
