Hi everyone,
I own a 2014 Mazda CX-5 and I’ve been struggling with a persistent clunking noise coming from the front driver side, especially noticeable when going over bumps, potholes, or uneven roads.
Despite all this work, the clunking sound remains — only from the driver's side and only when hitting bumps.
It’s starting to drive me crazy because everything seems to be done correctly.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue? I would really appreciate any advice or ideas. Thank you in advance!

Here's what I’ve already replaced (some parts twice):
- Front strut/shock absorber (replaced twice)
- Lower control arm
- Sway bar end link
- Sway bar bushings
- Wheel bearing
- Inner and outer tie rods
Important details:
- All bolts were torqued using factory torque specs.
- Suspension components were tightened with the vehicle on the ground (loaded position).
- I also inspected the rear engine mount, and everything looks solid — no cracks or play, it seems fine.
- All the new parts are tight, and there's no noticeable play anywhere in the suspension or steering.
