Got the CX-5 a little messed up and figured that it was time to get out the upholstery stuff...THEN I REMEMBERED....The CX-5 (leather trimmed version) had some of the neatest and ....TOUGHEST TO CLEAN Trim that I had ever encountered. I speak of area above the instrument cluster. I went through about 1/2 of my cleaners before remembering that I had excellent results with with last time. GOOD OLE MURPHY'S OIL SOAP .

My EX-GF told me about it at the time. It is Neither oily nor greasy, and does not leave a film. It's NOT foul smelling and dries quickly...then just wipe it off, and it's good to go! Best of all, it is NATURAL and super cheap!!!!.

Always found the top part of the dash great to look at,and touch, but a royal pail to clean up! ie: fingerprint magnet in black! TRY THIS!

Thanks, Buzzer. Now I know what to do with that bottle of Murhpy's that's been in my closet for ~ 10 years. :-)

Are you speaking about the larger portion of the dash - with the speaker inserts. If so....I have found that to be quite a challenge to keep looking good. And I've tried about all the products that have been recommended on here - even 303! That 'rubberized' feeling ends up being too dull looking or to greasy looking. And it smudges very easily which leaves a white-ish look. I am very careful not to wipe anything too aggressively as I'm afraid it will leave permanent damage. I'll give the Murphy's a try! Thanks!

What about cleaning the A-Pillar/hood liner (around handle)? It's kind of white and I'm afraid of leaving a stain.
